Vincent David Savage
December 31, 1942 – March 3, 2020
It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Vincent David Savage on March 3, 2020 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital with his family by his side. Born in New Waterford, Vincent was the son of the late John and Sarah (Gnesda) Savage.
Vincent was a carpenter by trade for over 50 years, as well as being a bus driver for the C.B. Regional School Board for a period of time. He was an avid outdoorsman with a passion for hunting and fishing all over Cape Breton Island. He especially enjoyed salmon fishing on the Margaree. During his earlier years he enjoyed snowmobiling with his buddies in the highlands.
Vincent is survived by his brothers, John (Mary), Mississauga, Ontario; Kevin (Patricia), Lingan, Nova Scotia, as well as nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was also predeceased by his wife Catherine (Rose) Savage and his nephew John Jr.
There will be no visitation. Cremation has taken place and a private family burial will take place at a later date.
