Ryan Daniel White

It is with great sadness and broken hearts that we the family announce the sudden and tragic passing of our beloved son, brother, uncle, grandson and friend, Ryan Daniel White on Thursday, July 28, 2011. Born in Alberta he was the son of William and Roberta (MacDonald) White, former residents of New Waterford, Nova Scotia. Ryan was passionate in everything he did. He was immensely proud of his family, and the new family he recently created with his partner Kristie (Kaje), taking on the role of father to her son Theoden (Theo) from the day of his birth. Ryan worked as a chef, cooking was one of his passions and many talents. He loved to feed people. At the end of his shift, not wanting anything to go to waste, he would take anything not sold and distribute it to the homeless and less fortunate. He never wanted to see anyone go hungry. Ryan saw people as people and it didn’t matter what their circumstances were, he treated them all the same. Ryan was a dedicated musician. He loved all kinds of music from his Celtic roots to thrash metal and everything in between. He played in several bands in Calgary and met many of his wonderful friends through his music. He loved his guitar and always had it in his hands. Ryan’s hand made his living, and they made his music, but his feet and his heart were always attached to his skateboard. Never driving a car, his skateboard was his transportation, his talent, his best friend and his therapy. You never saw Ryan without his skateboard, no matter the weather. Besides his parents, he is survived by sisters Jeannie (Dave) Evans and Sheena (Mark Mahoney) White, nephew Ayden Evans and niece Juliet Evans, his partner Kaje and her son Theo, all of Calgary, Alberta and grandmother Christina (Tiny ) MacDonald of New Waterford, Nova Scotia as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins who will miss him dearly. He was predeceased by his grandparents William and Stella White of New Waterford.

Cemetery:

Visitation:
Visitation for Ryan will be Friday, August 5th from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at McLellan Brothers Funeral Home, 3183 Plummer Avenue, New Waterford

Service:
A mass to celebrate Ryan’s life will be Saturday, August 6th at 10 am in the Parish of St. Leonard, Mount Carmel Avenue.
