It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Peter Marsh, 81, of Lingan on October 3, 2016 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital. Born in New Waterford Sept. 3, 1935, he was the son of the late Joseph and Hanora (MacNeil) Marsh.
Peter, being a mechanic, loved motorcycles and old cars. He was happiest working on some mechanical project in his garage. He was well respected for his mechanical ability in various occupations including the Royal Canadian Airforce, Bristol Myers, a Construction Rental Co., and until his retirement, the Cape Breton Development Corp. His mild manner and caring personality endeared him to all who knew him and will be dearly missed.
Peter is survived by his loving wife Joyce; sisters; Norrie Stewart, Victoria B.C, and Bridget Klepsch, Ottawa, Ont.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by brothers Walter (1995) and Garfield in infancy; sisters Josephine Durdle, Ethel MacLellan and Mary Ann Marsh (In infancy)
Respecting Peter’s wishes, cremation has taken place and burial will be at a later date. Donations in Peter’s memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of one’s choice.
