It is with deepest sadness that we the family of Patsy Brown, announce her peaceful passing on June 13, 2022, at her home in Lingan.
Patsy was born April 2, 1953, the daughter of the late Aloysius and Pearl (Burke) McIsaac. She was born and raised in Lingan, where she later met and married her love Brian Brown on April 8, 1972.
A devoted mother and grandmother, Patsy was dedicated to her family, and treasured her time with her children and grandchildren. She was especially proud of her role as Nanny and Gran-Nan. Patsy had a special place in her heart for all children and showed that love in all that she did. Her warm smile and the sparkle in her eye endeared her to many of the “little and big kids” in the family and neighborhood.
The queen of hospitality, Patsy loved to entertain and always went that extra mile to make friends and family feel at home. Always ready to add another plate to the table for that unexpected visitor and whipping up everyone’s favorite dishes to share at family get togethers was second nature to her. Patsy loved taking care of people, surprising her loved ones with her special lemon meringue pies, peppermint squares, or short bread cookies. She was so special to so many and will be deeply missed each and every day.
Patsy is survived by her loving and dedicated husband, Brian, daughter Lauralie (Kelly), son David (Stephanie), daughter Cindy (Joel); grandchildren Joshua (Robyn), Soleil, Monroe, Lincoln; step grandchild Hannah, great grandchild Jackson; sisters Rita (Jim), Debbie (Garry), Darlene (Donald), Alana; brothers Al (Michelle), Kenny; brothers in law Albert, Keith (Jane), as well as many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Susie.
We, the family, will be forever grateful for the love and care given to our mom by her special caretaker, Stephanie Warburton.
Cremation has taken place. A chapel service will be held on Saturday, June 18, 2022, at 11am with Father Jim Oliver officiating, followed by interment in St. Joseph's Cemetery in Lingan.
Donations in Patsy's memory can be made to the Nova Scotia Alzheimer's Society.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of The McLellan Brother's Funeral Home, 3183 Plummer Ave., New Waterford, 902-862-7500.
