Patrick Murray Wallace Hogan

It is with great sadness that we the family of Patrick Murray Wallace Hogan announce his passing on Sunday July 30, 2023, at the New Waterford Consolidated hospital surrounded by his family and friends. Born in New Waterford on Dec 18, 1970, he was the son of Patrick (Sam) and Mary (Silver).

Patrick is surrvived by his wife Patricia Gillis; daughter, Janie Lynn Gillis (Coady Drover); sister, Judy Hogan(Blaine Hilton); neice ; brother, Sam (Tammy) Hogan; nieces, Tammy Lynn Hogan (Dominic Kegan), Megan Hogan (J J Lanceleve), Emma Lanceleve; brother-in-laws, Donnie Gillis, Malcolm (Tracy) Gillis, Caleigh Gillis, Breton Gillis; aunts, Agnus Peckham (Bernie deceased), Mary and Duncan Blewer (deceased), Florence and Henry Mac Intosh (deceased), Rose and Joe Snow (deceased), Gabriel (Sandra deceased) Hogan, Charles and Noel Hogan (deceased), Frances and Charlotte Hogan ( deceased), grandparents Sarah Jane and Wallace Silver (deceased), Margaret and James Hogan (deceased) sister Janie Patricia Hogan (deceased).

Pat was a kind, quiet man who was always ready to lend a helping to anyone in need. He worked as a labourer in Alberta, as well as Big Daddies Pizza Shop until his illness. Pat loved getting together with his weekend buddies for a game of cards, playing baseball, hockey and driving his four wheeler on Friday nights.

The family would like to thank the Dialysis team at Cape Breton Regional hospital as they were an exceptional part of Pat's care. Also Dr. Tom Hewlett and staff of New Waterford Consolidated hospital as they made Pat feel at home.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care and direction of McLellan Funeral Home 3183 Plummer Ave, New Waterford 902-862-7500.  where a chapel service will be held on Friday August 4, 2023, at 10 a.m. with Fr. Godwin Obike officiating. You may join the family immediately following the service in the reception area for a time of fellowship.
