Norman Lawrence Corkin

Norman Lawrence Corkin, 60, of Thomas Street, Scotchtown, N.S., passed away Sept. 29, 2017, in palliative care, Cape Breton Regional Hospital.
Born in Ontario, June 24, 1957, he was the son of Mary (Miller) and the late Lawrence Corkin.
He was a member of Calvin United Church.
Norman worked at the front desk at Inglewood Arms Hotel in Toronto for 21 years. He was a sportsfan of the Toronto Blue Jays and the Toronto Maple Leafs.
He is survived by sister Mary Bernice Corkin, Scotchtown; aunts, Robbie and Terry; many nieces and nephews; special grandnephew, Alexander; and caregiver Jeannie.
He was predeceased by one sister Janet Elizabeth.
A graveside service will be held in Union Grove Cemetery, Scotchtown, at 2 p.m. Oct. 1 with Rev. Duncan Roach officiating.
