It is with sadness we announce the passing of Michael Francis Fitzharris, 82, of Victoria Mines and formerly of Kaneville, on Nov 4, 2021.

Born in Kaneville, on April 9, 1939, he was the son of the late Michael and Mary (Newman) Fitzharris. Michael was employed as a pipefitter with the United Association of Plumbers and Pipefitters.

Surviving are his children Debbie (Claude), Joe (Chris), Michelle, Eileen (Gerald); Grandchildren Kathleen, Sarah, Meagan, Shannon, Brenden and Eden.

Besides his parents, Michael was predeceased by his wife Theresa (Fraser), son Patrick “Paddy”, brothers Joseph and Clifford, sister Anne.

He will be missed by his beloved dog peanut.

There will be no visitation. Cremation has taken place and a graveside committal service will be held on Friday, Nov 12, at 2 pm, in Union Grove Cemetery, Scotchtown, with Reverend Dorothy Miller officiating.

A special thanks to nurse Johnathan “Jason” Lake for all his care and compassion during Michael’s illness. His kindness with not be forgotten. Also, thanks to the caring nursing staff of 3 west GB hospital.
