Mary Irene Crummey

Mary Irene Crummey, devoted wife to Wilfred J. Crummey, loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away on September 7th at the New Waterford Consolidated Hospital surrounded by her family. Born in New Waterford she was the daughter of the late Buddy and Irene Wilson. She was known for her great sense of humor and selflessness, she was a big Toronto Blue Jay's fan, loved darts and a good game of poker as well as other card games. She loved animals and will be missed by her dog Daisy, who was always by her side. Irene was a hard working and loving woman who left a lasting impression on anyone who met her. She will live on in the hearts of her family always. Irene is survived by her son Wilfred, Toronto , daughters Lorraine (Joe) Martell, Sydney and Marilyn (Ricky) Campbell, Lingan, brother Tommy (Margie) Wilson, New Waterford, grandchildren Lisa, Kimberley, Derek and Gordie; great-grandchildren Dreyden, Olivia, Mya, Jordon, Brendan, Keegan, Emma and Markus. Besides her parents Irene was also predeceased by her sister Thelma, brothers Lesley in infancy, Russell, Cecil, Lloyd, Ton, Earl, Clayton, Gerald and Dick and twin boys in infancy. Cremation has taken place and a celebration of Irene's life will be held Thursday, September 12th at 2 pm in the chapel at McLellan Brothers Funeral Home, 3183 Plummer Ave., New Waterford 862-7500 with Father Ray Huntley officiating. Burial in St. Agnes cemetery followed by a luncheon in the Koc, Plummer Ave. All are welcome. Donations in memory of Irene can be made to a charity of one's choice.
