Mary Emma Hurley

With heavy hearts, we the family regret to announce the passing of Mary Hurley
on June 16, 2018 at home with her husband Willie at her side.

Born August 28, 1933 she was the daughter of the late Hughie and Mary (Gillis) Hurley.
Mary was a homemaker, looking after her children, whom she loved dearly, was a member
of the New Waterford Pensioners Club. Like any true “New Waterforder”, in her early years, she loved her Bingo.

Mary is survived by her loving husband of 68 years, Willie; her loving children Judy (Tony)
Brenna, Davey, William “Wee Wee’, Hugh ‘Boo’ (Susan), Carolyn (Mike) Viva, Steven
(Miss Betty), Ray (Pam), Valerie (John) Campbell, all of New Waterford, Ann Louise (Darryl) Diebolt, Kitchener, ON and Robbie (Sheri), New Waterford; sisters Irene MacDonald, Joan
Connell, sister-in-law Annie and brother-in-law Wilfred Hurley, 20 grandchildren, 36 great-
grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to give special thanks to the Police, Ambulance drivers, Dr. Lowry
and staff of the Dialysis Unit, Cape Breton Regional Hospital, who took such good care of mom for the past ten years.

Visitation will take place Wednesday, June 20th from 5-9 pm and a chapel service will be held
Thursday , June 21st at 11 am with Deacon Leo Penny officiating. Internment in Mount Carmel Cemetery followed by a luncheon at the parish hall, Convent St. and all are welcome.
