On March 23, 2019 Margaret Mabel Chaisson peacefully past away in our home surrounded by her loving family. We know in our hearts that she has joined her loving husband Arthur and together they have joined their friends and family in heaven. Margaret was born in Cheticamp on November 28, 1927. We are not sure if it was strength or stubbornness but she lived her life to the fullest. From making the best homemade bread you ever tasted, to the sweetness of her cinnamon rolls you would never leave her home without the offer of delicious morsel of food. Margret was lovingly known to most of us as Memere. A hug from Memere warmed your heart and soothed your tears. If love could make you live longer then our Memere would not be gone. Margaret was predeceased by her loving husband Arthur Chaisson, her mother Marie Roach, and many brothers and sisters. Margret was the last link in her family circle and we know she is happy to join her family and friends. Margret will be dearly missed by her daughters Donna Aucoin (Tommy), Brenda Helle (Clarence Covey), her grandchildren Glenn Aucoin (Cindy), Darlene Lelieve (Marcell), Scott Helle (Anita), Wayne Helle (Tammy). She will also be missed by her great--grandchildren Erika, Felicia, Connie, Stephane, Brain, Sarah, Austin and Riley and great- great- grand daughter Maggie. She had many nieces, nephews and friends who will miss her as well. The celebration of Margaret’s life will be Wednesday, March 27th from 11-3 PM, followed by a chapel service at 3 PM in the funeral home chapel with Deacon Leo Penny officiating and a luncheon to follow at the K.O.C., Plummer Ave.. As a family we would like to thank our earth angels, the Cape Breton Palliative Care team, especially Linda Murphy and Dr. D’Intino. Words are not enough. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Cape Breton Palliative Care or Hospice. To send condolences to the family go to: www.mclellanfuneralhome.com
