It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of Lynda on July 31, 2019 at the Palliative Care Unit in the Cape Breton Regional Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Born on June 29, 1948 she was the daughter of the late Mike and Lassie (Burke) Moseychuck.
Lynda showed great care and compassion as a counsellor and caregiver at the Children’s Training Center in Sydney where she treated the children as her own. Later she was the owner of Lovell’s Esso Service Center in River Ryan, where she made many friends over the years. She was a loving and exceptional wife, mother and grandmother, family meant everything to her and she was never happier than when caring for her children and grand-children. She would never hesitate to put the needs of others before her own. A woman of great faith, her strength and courage helped her throughout her lifetime.
Lynda is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Pat and sons Ralph (Bernadette) and Barry (Danielle); grandchildren Connor, Maya, Sydney and Wesley; sisters Judy (David), Schurman, Mary (Hubert) Radoux, Carol Ann (Hughie) MacIntyre and brother Michael (Pam); mother-in-law Verna Lovell; brothers-in-law George (Kay) Lovell, Horace (Maureen) Lovell and sister-in-law Phyllis (David) Crombie, and many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents she was also predeceased by her brother Edgar, in infancy and father-in-law Horace Lovell. The family extends sincere thanks to Dr. Javed Ali, Dr. Susan MacLeod, Dr. Ann Frances D’Intino, Dr. John Ritter, Dr. Kian Khodadad as well as the wonderful staff of the E.R., Cancer and Palliative Care Units.
Cremation has taken place and a funeral mass will be Monday, Aug. 5th at 10 A.M. in the Parish of Saint Leonard, Mt. Carmel Ave., with Fr. Bill Stephenson officiating, followed by a reception in the parish hall, Convent St. and all are welcome.
