Kathy (Mackenzie) Macdonald

Kathy ‘Kate’ (MacKenzie) MacDonald passed away peacefully Friday, April 15, 2011, surrounded by family at the Sault Area Hospital. Beloved wife of Paul MacDonald and loving mother of Meaghan MacDonald. Kathy bravely fought multiple sclerosis for 25 years. Born in New Waterford, Kathy was the daughter of Neil and Charlotte MacKenzie and the sister of Laurie (Jacques) Boucher, Antigonish. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Kathy was a proud Cape Bretoner and known for her sharp wit and keen sense of humour. Kathy’s heart always belonged to Cape Breton. A funeral service will be held in June under the direction of McLellan Brothers Funeral Home, 3183 Plummer Ave., New Waterford, N.S., 862-7500.
