Kathleen Frances Maclellan

It is with deepest sadness that we, the family announce the passing of Kathleen MacLellan on June 27, 2016 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital. Born in New Waterford, she was the daughter of the late John Archie and Jessie MacLellan.

Kathy was employed for a number of years as a house keeper and also at Pathways in Sydney. She enjoyed her walks around the Sydney area and will be missed by her many friends at the Sydney Tim Hortons outlets.

Kathleen is survived by her son Darren, Halifax; sisters Joan and Diane, Montreal Margie, Toronto, Anne, Ben Eoin; brothers Louie, Lingan, Scott, Halifax, Peter, Alberta, and Alex, Sydney.

Besides her parents, she is predeceased by brothers John Allan, Danny, Michael, Robert, Carl and William; sisters Rosemarie and Sandra.

Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held on Friday, July 1, 2016 at 1-3 P.M. followed directly by a chapel service at 3 P.M. in the funeral home chapel with Deacon Leo Penny officiating. Burial to follow in Mount Carmel Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of McLellan Brothers funeral home, 3183 Plummer Ave, New Waterford, 902-862-7500.
