Joyce Elizabeth Rizzato

We the family are very sad to announce the passing of our mother Joyce on Saturday, March 20, 2010, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. Born in New Waterford, she was the daughter of the late Donald MacEachern and Tina (Royale) and Freddie Wadden. Joyce was a loving and caring wife, great mother, sister and friend. She was a very strong woman who had a big smile and even bigger heart. She had a great outlook on life and never took a single day for granted by living it to the fullest for how sick our mother was. Ma you will be always remembered in our hearts. Joyce enjoyed her bingo, a good game of cards, enjoyed her grandchildren and loved them dearly. Granny we will miss you. She is survived by her loving husband John of 54 years; daughters, Chris (John) Hanes, Elaine (Malkie) and Audrey, all of New Waterford, Norina (Pat) Laffin, Lingan; and her loving son, Freddie (Peggy), Lingan.; sisters, Sandra (Jack) Barrett, New Brunswick, Ursula (Stan) Chiasson, Mt. Uniacke, Valerie (Brian) Cleary, Shubenacadie, Winnie McVarish, New Waterford; and brother, Sonny (June) Wadden, Amherst. Also her grandchildren, Richard, Christa, Julie, Jeffery, David, Theresa Marie, Kyle and Michael; two great-grandchildren, Jadeyn and Avery who she loved dearly; as well as numerous nieces and nephews and many great friends. She was predeceased by her parents, Donald MacEachern and Tina (Royale) and Freddie Wadden. There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place by her request under the direction of McLellan Brothers Home Ltd., 3183 Plummer Ave., New Waterford, 862-7500.
