John Francis ‘Frank’ MacIsaac
New Waterford
It is with great sorrow that the family announce the passing of their dear father, Frank MacIsaac, on March 2nd, 2021, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital. Born in New Waterford on July 22, 1953, he was the son of the late Walter and Josephine (MacPherson) MacIsaac.
Frank was a man with many professions under his belt, one being a professional driver, which he was quite proud of. He drove Coaches on tour trips, where he gained popularity with his passengers to the point where they would request him to drive when they booked their trips. He also worked in Lingan Mine, was a taxi driver, liked motorcycles, 18 Wheelers, going camping and loved his many trips to Newfoundland. Frank enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren as they were his pride and joy.
Frank is survived by his son Frank (Candice) and daughter Raylene (Matthew) Lambert; grandchildren Jacob, Jasmine, Jessica, Logan, Brooklyn, Chloe; great-grandchild Jace; his close friends Kevin and Victor, who were like brothers to him; and his best friend, his dog Mickey.
Besides his parents, he was also predeceased by his loving wife Stasia (Rigby), brothers Lenny, Ray and sisters Sheila and Annette.
Cremation has taken place and a visitation will be held on Saturday, March 20th from 11-1 pm, followed by a private chapel service at 1 pm with Fr. Peter McLeod officiating. Masks and social distancing are required. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
