John Blair Macqueen

It is with sad hearts we announce the passing of our beloved brother John Blair MacQueen. Born in New Waterford on June 14, 1945, he was the son of the late Murdock and Faye (Landmeyer) MacQueen.

For those who knew Johnny he was a quiet solitary man who loved nature and animals especially Jake, Sparky and Lucy.

He enjoyed family dinners with sisters Gail, Brenda and sister-in-law Joanne.
His happiest times were spent with family and friends (The Brenna’s, The Williams), his wonderful neighbors Barb and Yvonne Chiasson and Valerie Ratchford who treated him like family.

He is survived by his sisters Brenda MacNeil, Gail (Tommy MacDougall), sister-in-law Joanne, brother Wayne, nieces and nephews Chris, Tracy, Colin, Jeff, Tamara, Marc, Naomi, Lacey and Carrie.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brother Junior and brother-in-law Frankie.

A chapel service will be held at McLellan Brother Funeral Home, 3183 Plummer Ave, New Waterford, 902-862-7500 at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb.27, 2018 with Deacon Leo Penny officiating.
