Harold "Harry" Macdonald

It is with great sadness that we the family announce the passing of Harry MacDonald, age 83 at the New Waterford Consolidated Hospital. Born in New Waterford, he was the son of the late Allan J. and Elizabeth (McKenzie) MacDonald.

Harry worked in the coal mines for 39 years. In earlier years he enjoyed bowling, hunting and fishing.

He is survived by his wife Pauline (MacMullin), daughter Mary (Ronald) Hennessy, daughter-in-law Jean MacDonald, grandchildren Leann (Robert) Campbell, Jason (Kim) Hennessy, Allan J (Jillian) MacDonald and Christopher, great-grandchildren Madison, Dawson, Katelyn, Abbey, Macey, Malory, Breighton and Kylin, special niece Linda (James) Antle and grandniece Jamie Lynn.

Besides his parents he was also predeceased by son Allan Francis; sisters Eileen, Reynelda Frattini and brothers Allan R. and Terrance.

Cremation has taken place and a chapel service to celebrate Harry’s life will be held Thursday, November 10, 2016 at 2 P.M in the funeral home chapel with Fr. Ray Huntley officiating and a luncheon to follow in the parish hall, Convent St. All are welcome.
