Gregory Allen Stirling

We regret to announce the sudden passing of Gregory Allen Stirling, 64, on November 27, 2022 in Pincher Creek, Alberta. The family is deeply saddened by his sudden death. Greg was born in Lacombe Alberta on November 17, 1958 and was the  youngest son to the late Ronald & Bertha (Hudson) Stirling of Clive AB.

Greg was a talented and truly gifted artist. He studied and received his Bachelor's in Fine Arts.  For many years he developed his skills and ability as an artist and a carpenter.  He was commissioned to do a large metal installation in Edmonton Alberta, which was a great honor and an accomplishment he was proud of. You would often find him with his nose in a book and a pencil in his hand, sketching as he read. He also was a brilliant carver and chose soap stone as his medium. A creative, quiet soul, with a kind heart that often thought of others.

Greg is survived by his daughter Siobhan; son Alexander; sister Nancy; brothers Marshall (Cecelia), Morris (Gwen), William (Sandra). His memory lives on with his nieces & nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.

Besides his parents he was predeceased by sisters Patricia and Donna.

Donations in memory of Greg may be made to the local S.P.C.A or the Mental Health Society in your area. A celebration of Greg's life is planned for the spring in Clive Alberta. You may express your condolences and words of comfort to the family by visiting his tribute wall at the top of this page.

'Your life meant something, rest easy now.'

I fall asleep in the full and certain hope

That my slumber shall not be broken;

And that, though I be all-forgetting,

Yet shall I not be all-forgotten,

But continue that life in the thoughts and deeds of those I have loved.
