Glen Edward White

We the family regret to announce the passing of our father, brother, uncle and dear friend, Glen Edward White, on Friday March 3, 2023 at the Victoria General Hospital surrounded  by his loved ones. Formerly of Scotchtown, at the time of his passing Glen was residing in Sackville. He was born on February 5, 1959, and was the son of the late Herbie and Jessie White of Scotchtown, NS. 

Glen was a proud miner and he worked for many of years in both the Lingan and Prince Mines. When the mines closed he went on to work at Porkey's Lobster Shop, where there were lots of laughs and many friendships made over the years. 

Glen's passion in life besides his family was horses. He enjoyed many hours at the race track in New Waterford and often went to the races at Tartan Downs Race Way in Sydney. Over the years he made several trips and visited all the various tracks through out the maritime provinces.

Left to mourn his passing is his daughter Jessica (Ryan) MacDonald, Sackville, Krista (Darren) Musgrave, Frenchvalle; son Brent (Cheryl) White, Sydney; sister Clara MacDonald, Diane, Charlene (Jimmy) Thorne, Jane (George) McEachern; grandchildren Jonathon, Becky Karlee and Jason and his special 'little man' as he would fondly call him, Mason; nephew Jason (Shelly) Digero and several other nieces nephews and dear friends. 

Besides his parents he was predeceased by his son Glen Wareham, his  special sister, Tammy Marie, and his brother-in-law, Gordie MacDonald. 

Glen will be missed by all of his family and many of friends he made over the years.

Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of McLellan Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Friday March 10, 2023 at 10a.m., in McLellan Funeral Chapel, 3183 Plummer Ave, New Waterford, Deacon Lorne MacNeil officiating. Interment will be held at a later date. If you so wish donations may be made to the charity of choice. After Glow

I’d like the memory of me,
