Georgina Bennett

On October 3, 2020 two hearts were mended while others were left broken when Georgina Bennett, 79 was reunited with her husband of over 50 years, Charles “Chickie” Bennett in heaven. Gina was born on August 6, 1941 to her late parents
Cesar and Regina (Angione) Lalo.

In her earlier years, Gina worked at Breton Education Centre as support staff until her retirement. She was well known for her strong work ethic. Along with her husband Chickie, she enjoyed playing darts on a variety of dart leagues. Together they made many friends along the way. She was a talented seamstress and was the best at making quilts for her family and these quilts are cherished everyday. Gina loved her time with her family and could always be found helping in the kitchen and many happy times were spent with all of us together enjoying a meal she prepared. She was very proud of her children
and grandchildren. Gina was also well known for her independence, determination, strength and desire to live life. This was very evident as Gina battled cancer. The determination and strength she showed in her final days were admired by many.
She was a member of the Parish of Saint Leonard.

She is survived by daughter Lynn (Steve) McNeil and son Charles (Michele); grandchildren Justin, Jessica (Keegan) and Jarrett McNeil, Craig (Robin), Charlene (Jordan), Rebecca (Jonathan), Rachael, Mary Ann and Charles Bennett; great-grandchildren Joseph Thomas and Ariah.
