Florence Lillian Mcintosh

It is with great sadness the family of Florence McIntosh announces her passing on May 23,
2015 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital with her loving family by her side.

Born in Sydney she was the daughter of the late Abner and Sarah Jane (Hardy) Silver.
Florence’s hobbies included darts, bingo, dancing and enjoyed baseball and hockey.


She is survived by her loving husband, Henry, sons Wallace Blair (Rosie), Scotchtown and
Jason Corey (Jennifer), New Waterford; daughters Charlotte, Saskatchewan, Lana Marie
(Dave) Campbell, Dartmouth and Tara Lynn (John) New Victoria; sister Mary (Sam) Hogan,
Scotchtown and brother Murray Silver, Sydney; step-sons Avery McIntosh (Vicky) and Allan McIntosh. She is also survived by her grandchildren Tylor, Justin, Travis, Brittany, Christine, Charles, Stephanie, Michael, Jason, Collin, Sarah, Ashley, Shane, Jeremy, Shelby, Josh, Jennifer, Samantha, Alexander, Dylan, Joanie, 12 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews

Besides her parents, she is also predeceased by her sister Rose and niece Janie.


Cremation has taken place. A chapel service to celebrate Florence’s life will be held on Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Vernon Reid officiating, followed by a luncheon to be held at the Parish Hall, Convent St. All are welcome. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of McLellan Brothers Funeral Home, 3183 Plummer Ave., New Waterford, 862-7500. Donations can be made to the An Cala, Palliative Care Unit.
