Duane John Fiore

It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved son, brother, husband, father, grandfather and uncle Duane John Fiore of Brampton, Ont. on August 11th, 2014 at Brampton Civic Hospital surrounded by loved ones. Born in New Waterford on October 27th, 1950, he was the son of Louis and Carmella (MacLeod) Fiore. Duane enjoyed being surrounded by family and friends especially his grandchildren, they meant the world to him and were the light of his life. He was an avid Toronto Maple Leafs fan, he never missed a game. He loved to carry-on telling jokes and laughing with everyone around him. He was a kind and generous man who loved very deeply. Duane is survived by his father Louis Fiore, loving wife Bertha (McSween) Fiore, daughters Shanelle Amanda (Dave) and Shannon Marie (Ivan) both of Brampton, Ont, and his grandchildren Lucas Duane son of Shannon and Cassie Carmella May daughter of Shanelle. He is also survived by sisters Karen (Hommy) and Gayle, brothers Craig (Paulette), Lorne (Sherry) and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides his mother Carmella, he is predeceased by his brother David in childhood and special grand aunt Charlotte Tighe and both his maternal and paternal grandparents. Cremation has taken place. There will be a private family memorial on Sunday, August 17th from 7 - 9 pm. A funeral mass will be held on Monday, August 18th at 10:00 am in the Parish of St. Leonard, Mount Carmel Ave. followed by a reception at the Army/Navy & Air force on Smith St, New Waterford. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of McLellan Brothers Funeral Home, 3183 Plummer Ave., New Waterford.
