Daniel Emery Hurley

Daniel Emery Hurley 44, Scotchtown It is with great sadness the family announces the sudden passing of Daniel (Buddy) Hurley at home. Born in New Waterford, he was the son of Michael Ikie and Margaret (Blanchard) Hurley. Daniel worked in construction and was an avid hockey fan, especially the Philadelphia Flyers, he loved music and his guitar Daniel is survived by his wife Patsy (Campbell), sons Troy Laniez, Ryan Rockett (Nichole), Stephen Campbell (Megan); daughters Abbie and Amber Hurley (his special angels), sisters Annie (Alex) MacNeil, ON, Laurie Hurley (Jimmy) Iris Hurley, Angel Hurley (Norm), Amanda Hurley (Joe); brothers Tommy (Gloria), Michael (Cathy), Joseph Kaloc(Patricia), Ron Hurley, Darren Hurley (Melissa) and John Hurley (Joanne), special friend and brother Blaise MacKenzie, and special uncles Richard (Mary) Blanchard and Bobby (Eve) Blanchard, and numerous nephews and nieces. Besides his father he was also predeceased by his sister Kay Hurley, grand-parents Thomas and Catherine (Taylor) Blanchard and Thomas and Angeline(Ransom) Hurley, mother-in-law Patricia Campbell and brother-in-law Ray Bennett, and will be sadly missed by long time friend Kim Murphy. Cremation has taken place and a funeral mass to celebrate Daniel's life will be held on Friday, September 9,2011 at 10 am in the Parish of Saint Leonard with burial in St. Agnes Cemetery and a luncheon to follow in the Parish of Saint Leonard`s hall, Convent Street.
