It is with great sadness that we the family announce the sudden passing of Corey Joseph Daix
on August 18, 2019 at the Sacred Heart Community Health Centre in Cheticamp, CB. Born on
May 6, 1991, he was the youngest son of Stevie and Debbie (Porter) Daix.
Corey graduated from Breton Education Center in 2009, and then began his travels back and forth to Alberta working for Rio Bow Coring and Drilling. He was a true lover of the outdoors, an avid bow hunter, a passionate fisherman and he absolutely loved camping with his friends and family. Corey loved a good game of darts in the garage with “The Boys”, especially while watching his team the Toronto Maple Leafs. He will always be the reigning champion of the
Doucette's washer toss tournament in Margaree. Corey was a proud and loving uncle with a
heart of gold. We will always remember him for his quick wit, snappy come backs and endless tormenting.
Besides his loving parents, Corey is survived by his brothers Stephen (Megan Kelly), Jason; sister-In-law Heather; his nephews and little buddies, Austin and Hunter. He will be dearly missed by his Grandmother, Ada Porter, numerous aunts, uncles and cousins and godson Jack Stubbert,(Josh and Hillary); endless amount of friends and their families meant the world to him, he considered them part of his family and now his family will always continue to keep them in our hearts.
