Charles "Junior" Boudreau

At the age of 80, Charles "Junior" Boudreau passed away on July 16 at the New Waterford Hospital.

A man as comfortable in the wilderness as at home Junior taught those around him to learn to love and forget to fear; favouring gentle guidance over stern discipline. When age began to catch up to him exceptional neighbours Jason and Cathy Hawley were always there to ensure Junior continued to live his life to the fullest. A carpenter by trade, Junior spent his final days showered in love and prayers.

He leaves behind his wife of 55 years Mary "Emcie" Boudreau; only son Arlen and five grandchildren Brianna Boudreau, Evan Boudreau, Leanne Laidlaw, Lily and Oliver Monk (great-grandchildren).

A 2 p.m. funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 19 at McLellan Brothers Funeral Home, 3183 Plummer Ave, New Waterford, 902-862-7500. Interment will be in Forest Haven Memorial Garden with a reception in St. Leonard's parish hall on Convent Street to follow. The family will receive offers of condolences for an hour before the funeral at McLellan’s.
