It is with heavy hearts and deep sorrow we announce the passing of our darling daughter Billie Jean Blanchard on September 25, 2019 in Halifax surrounded by her loving family.
At one time she worked at Victoria Haven Guest Home, Glace Bay where she had made many friends. She loved to walk the beach and collect sea glass which she would use to make crafts. Her children were her pride and joy. Billie-Jean is at peace now and rightly so as her organs were donated and because of that six people in all parts of Canada are still alive.
She is survived by her children Dominic, Christian, Madison and Leah; mother Debby Blanchard, (Sandy), father Billy Fraser (Lillian); sister Deborah (Zack), brothers Darrell, Ricky and Joey; step-sisters Gail Anne White (Richard), Gwen Burns (Walter) and Keith White, grandmothers Mary Blanchard and Lorraine Fraser, also aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins and godparents Darlene Blanchard and Walter MacDonald.
She was predeceased by grandfathers Richard Blanchard and John Fraser.
Cremation has taken place and a funeral mass will be held Wednesday, October 2, 2019 at 10 AM in the Parish of Saint Leonard with Father Ray Huntley officiating followed by a luncheon at the K.O.C, Plummer Ave, and all are welcome. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of McLellan Brothers Funeral Home, 3183 Plummer Ave, New Waterford, 902-862-7500. To send online condolences, go to: www.mclellanfuneralhome.com
