Bertha Lillian Macfarlane

It is with heavy hearts, we the family of Bertha MacFarlane, 83, announce she passed away peacefully on Oct 1, 2018 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney. She was the daughter of Cecil and Moretta (Kennedy) of Big Pond.

Bertha is survived by her son Stephen Wallace and daughters Wanda and Cassie MacFarlane; grandchildren Carlos (Dale), Jennifer (John), Justin and Alisa; great-grandchildren Autumn and Bryden; she is survived by her brothers Russell, Sydney, Winston, Dave and Wayne; sisters Gwen, Phoebe, Shirley, Moretta and Hilda.

She was predeceased by her husband Allie MacFarlane; brother Robert and sisters Betty and Marg.

Her wishes stated there will be no visitation or funeral. Donations can be made to a charity of one’s choice.
