Arthur "Butch" Brenna

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our father and grandfather, Arthur Brenna, on August 6, 2015 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Born in New Waterford, he was the son of the late Henry and Zabeth (Bourgeois) Brenna.

Arthur in his earlier years was in the Air Force. He then worked at Hydro Quebec for a number of years. He was an avid reader who never wanted to put a book down.

Arthur is survived by his loving wife Monique (Girard) Brenna, his daughters Louise Brenna, Ginette and Mariette, son Henry Brenna, grandsons Vincent and Martin and one granddaughter Francoise, brother in-law Marcel Girard, as well as a nephew Edward Hogan

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his sister Louise Hogan.
Cremation has taken place. A funeral mass to celebrate Arthur’s life will take place on Wednesday, August 12 at 10 a.m. in the Parish of St. Leonard, Mount Carmel Ave. with Father Ray Huntley officiating, followed by a luncheon at the Parish Hall, Convent street. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of McLellan Brothers Funeral Home, 3183 Plummer Ave., New Waterford, 862-7500. Donations can be made to a charity of one’s choice.
