Annie Margaret Gottwald87, New Waterford, N.S.It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of their mother, Margaret Gottwald on March 21, 2011, at the New Waterford Consolidated Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.Born in Inverness, she was the daughter of the late John Angus Smith. Margaret enjoyed a good game of cards and loved bingo. She was known as Ma to everyone who knew her and her door was always open to those who needed a place to stay.She is survived by her five loving sons, George (Ellen), Danny (Linda), Scotchtown, Jimmy (Shirley), Gardiner Mines, Michael (Margaret Ann), Dominion, and Angus, Toronto; also by her daughter-in-law, Selina (Minnie) Gottwald; her good friend, Richard, Ontario; 18 grandchildren and 41 great-grandchildren, who she loved dearly Besides her parents, she was also predeceased by her husband, Joseph Gottwald and son, John GooksVisitation will take place March 25 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at McLellan Brothers Funeral Home, 3183 Plummer Ave., New Waterford, N.S., 862-7500. A funeral mass to celebrate Margarets life will be held Saturday, March 26 at 10 a.m. at St. Leonards Church, Mount Carmel Avenue, New Waterford, with Fr. Ray Huntley officiating.
