It is deep sadness that we the family of Ann Cameron announce her passing on March 10, 2020 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital.
Born in Glace Bay on August 31, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Guy and Sarah (Saccary ) Currie. Ann loved music, singing, crazy rummy, and spending time with her family.
Ann is survived by her daughters; Diane (Blair), Donna (Evelyn), Darlene (Tommy), brother, Greg (Dolly); sister, Joan, grandchildren; Josh, Ryan (Brandi), Lydia (Peter), Blair Jr. (Veronica), Laurie (Kuanda), great grandchildren; Lyncoln, Brett, Craig, Devon (Amber), Taylor, Latrell, Kyra, great – great grandchildren; Caleb, Jace.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Godfrey, sisters; Margaret, Rose, Marie, Rita, brothers; Joe, Naish, twins John and Theresa and brother Raymond in infancy, great grandchild Holly in infancy, special niece Sharon, many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be at McLellan Brothers Funeral Home, on Tuesday, March 17 from 11 – 1, with a chapel service at 1pm, with Deacon Lorne MacNeil officiating.
The family would like to thank the staff of Maple Hill Manor, as well as Palliative Care for the wonderful care they gave to Ann. A very special thanks to McLellan Brothers Funeral Home and Deacon Lorne MacNeil for their kindness and compassion in our time of need.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Ann’s memory can be made to the Cape Breton Palliative Care or the charity of one’s choice.
