It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend to many, Angus Gerard Campbell on January 24, 2014 surrounded by his loving family. Born July 30, 1955, he was the son of the late Colin and Nellie (Hawley) Campbell. Angus, a very proud 40 year member of U.A. Local 682 Plumbers and Pipefitter’s served as vice – president for many years. He worked as a plumber/pipefitter for greater than 40 years working in many provinces. Angus was a faithful member of the Parish of Saint Leonard. He was also a member of the Army, Navy & Air Force Veterans # 217. Angus enjoyed watching sports, in particular the Montreal Canadiens. He enjoyed a good card game like cribbage, tarbish, and 45’s, especially with his best friend, father-in-law Eddie Tighe. He was an exceptional pool player (by reputation). Angus was a hard worker and good provider. He loved to spend time with family & friends and always willing to lend a hand to any. He gave generously of his talents. Angus had a wonderful sense of humor and displayed his beautiful smile “Full time”. A consummate grandfather; Brandon was indeed “His best little buddy and the apple of his eye”. Furry friends Zoey & Keith will certainly be aware of his absence. He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Mary (Tighe); daughter Natashia (Ronnie) McSween, sons Christopher (Christina) and Matthew (Tiffany) and grandson Brandon. Left to mourn also are siblings, Colleen (Joseph) Piccolo, John (Patricia), Kay (James Hogan), Brian (Theresa), Anne (Cyril) Boudreau, Theresa Macdonald, Nellie (Jeff Chung), Charles (Florence), Michael (Lynann), Colin (Michelle S. Bignell), Patricia (Brian MacSween), Bradley (Linda) along with sister-in-law Sheila. He is also survived by in-laws, Eddie and Coleen Tighe, Wayne and Mary, Eddie and Cathy, Debbie and Johnny MacKinnon and families. Numerous aunts, uncles and nieces & nephews will miss him dearly. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his mother-in-law Anita (McIssac) Tighe and brother–in-law Clive Macdonald. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 29, 2014 from 4 - 8 pm and a funeral mass will be held Thursday, January 30, 2014 at 10 am in the Parish of Saint Leonard, Mount Carmel Ave, with Fr. Ray Huntley officiating with a luncheon to follow at the K.O.C., Plummer Ave. and all are welcome. Burial in Mount Carmel cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of McLellan Brothers Funeral Home, 3183 Plummer Ave., New Waterford, 862-7500. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Diabetes Association.
