Andrew Joseph Earle

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of a beloved husband and father, Andrew Joseph Earle, age 64, on October 21, 2020 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital.

Andrew appreciated and loved the simple things in life. He cherished his wife and children, and his drives along the ocean. He was a strong, brave, compassionate man who truly cared for humanity, and wasn’t afraid to question the status-quo. He will always be remembered for his fiery spirit and for his immense love of music, singing and dancing. He thoroughly enjoyed a good laugh. He loved being creative in the kitchen, fish and chicken being his specialties. He shared a deep connection and respect for mother nature, having worked a career in the forest industry. This connection helped to feed not only his family, but his free spirit. Working alongside the trees fostered Andrew’s traits of gentle, loving kindness, and respect for life and all beings. He has passed these invaluable traits and gifts on to his children, which they will continue to share with the world.

Andrew is survived by his loving wife of 45 years Shirley (MacPherson), son Jason, daughter Charlene; brothers Edmund and Donnie; sisters Mag, Pauline, Monica, Girlie and Liz. He was much loved by his brother-in-law, sisters-in law, and many nieces and nephews.

Besides his mother Bertha, he was predeceased by his brothers Kenneth, Walter; sisters Kathleen, Theresa, Nellie, and Stella.

Cremation has taken place and visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 11, 2020 from 6 – 9 pm. Masks and social distancing are required. A private chapel service will take place with Father Peter McLeod officiating, followed by interment in Mount Carmel Cemetery.

Sincere gratitude to the loving staff of the ICU unit at the Regional Hospital. Donations in Andrew’s memory can be made to the Cape Breton Palliative Care.
