It is with great sadness that we, the family announce the passing of Richey Jury on Wednesday, June 7, 2017 at Richmond Ville after his long battle with Alzheimer’s. Born in Joggins NS, he was the son of the late William and Evelyn (O’Brien) Jury.
Richey was an avid outdoorsman and loved to hunt, he loved the local flea market for which he never missed a Sunday, and enjoyed a “Richey sized fries” from his favorite chip wagon.
He is survived by his loving wife Sandra (Jardine) of 49 years; sons Rickey and Jamie, both of New Victoria; daughters Sandi (Ron), New Victoria, and Dale Bryant, Ontario; eldest brother Edward (Margie) Jury; sisters Mary (Jack) Rowlands, Eunice Doherty, and Gail (Lennie) Barrington; 4 grandchildren James (Sam), Ryan, Felisha and Marley; great-grandchild Ally; sisters in-law Jackie; brothers-in-law Wally (Willena) and Harold; well as many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews;
Besides his parents, he is predeceased by his sister Dorothy (Ray) and brother-in-law Bernie; his in-laws Bob and Frances Jardine; sister-in-law Joyce; brother-in-law Eddie and nephew Bruce.
Cremation has taken place. A chapel service will be held Thursday, June 8, 2017 at 3:30 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Duncan Roach officiating. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of McLellan Brothers Funeral Home, 3183 Plummer Ave, New Waterford, 902-862-7500.
