Georgina 'Ninie' Anne Fraser 69, of New Victoria was carried home in the arms of Angels on Sunday, August 30, 2009. Born in Balls Creek, she was the daughter of the late Sid and Josie (MacMullin) Musgrave. She was a faithful member of St. Joseph Parish, New Victoria. Georgina was well known as a caring and giving lady with a keen sense of humour. She touched everyone's heart in a very special way. She loved her family, relatives and friends and would always lend a helping hand. Georgina worked at the Spring Garden Villa for 18 years. She loved the 'Blue Jays' and Toronto Maple Leafs. She was founder and active player of her softball team 'South Bar Ladies'. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Joey; children, Joanne (Shaun), Clint (Beverly), Judy (Glenn), Bruce (Janet); grandchildren, Lindsay (BJ), Shara (Andrew), Kevin, Jackie, MacKayla, Layken, Harland; great-grandchildren, Bryson, Raya and Isabella. She is also survived by her brother, Roddie (Jean) Musgrave; sisters, Jane (Bernie) MacLeod and Lillian (Clarence) Jennex. Besides her parents, brothers, Martin, Charlie, Danny, Dougie, Sid and also sister, Christine, predeceased her. There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place under the direction of McLellan Brother's Funeral Home, 3183 Plummer Ave., New Waterford, (862-7500). A funeral mass celebrating Georgina's life will take place Wednesday, Sept. 2, at 10 a.m. in the Parish of Saint Leonard's Church, New Waterford with Fr. Doug MacDonald officiating. Interment will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, New Victoria. A luncheon will be held in the Parish of Saint Leonard's Hall on Convent Street, New Waterford and all are welcomed to attend. Donations in Georgina's memory can be made to the Palliative Care Society of Cape Breton.
