It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Elizabeth “Betty” (Harte) Parsons, on September 10th, 2021, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney. Born in New Waterford, May 4th, 1949, she was the daughter of the late Bobby and Mary (Fraser) Harte. Betty lived life to the fullest. She enjoyed spending time doing her routine things with her friend Helen Campbell, and she loved watching her TV shows. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

Betty is survived by her daughter, Tracy; sons, Johnny, Lloyd, Jamie, and Dougie; grandchildren, Brody, Jacob, Samantha, Cameron, Bronson, Luke, and Zenly; brothers, Thomas, Douglas, and Joey; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles; special friend and cousin, Susie.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her sisters, Theresa, Shirley, and Marie; brothers, Kevin, and Wally; friend and cousin Helen.

Per Betty’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A chapel service will be held on Thursday, September 16, 2021, at 2 pm. with Rev. Duncan Roach officiating. Burial will take place at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the An Cala Palliative Care Unit, C.B. Regional Hospital or Victoria Haven Nursing Home.
