Obituary for Brady Joseph Doyle

Brady Doyle, 74, of Loch Lomond, Cape Breton, passed on Sunday, Sept. 13, 2020 at the Strait Richmond Hospital. Born in New Waterford on September 22, 1945, he was the son of the late Dennis Sr. and Margaret (Roach) Doyle of New Waterford.

Brady first started working as a coal hauler in his teenage years In New Waterford but his love of music took him to Ontario where he pursued a music career. After a few years, he returned to Nova Scotia where he continued playing music part time and worked in the building supplies industry. After many years of hard work, Brady was able to retire to beautiful Loch Lomond and had 10 wonderful years creating and recording his music in his home studio and working on restoring his antique Oldsmobile.

He is survived by his wife Marilyn (Evans) Doyle; daughter Shari (Cory) Rogers, Hamilton; son Panos (Cathy) Caltsounis, Burlington, daughter Tracey (David) Penney, Dartmouth; step-son Robert (Jenny), Dalrymple, Whitby; five brothers Roger (Wendy), Raymond (Olivia), Robert (Marie), Paul (Cathy) and Patrick; three sisters Judy (Lennie) Benoit; Margaret-Ann Doyle and Theresa (Rick) Tufts; sister-in-law Helen Doyle; seven grandchildren Emily and Evan Penney, Holden and Carter Rogers, Alexandra and Madelaine Caltsounis, Bobby Dalrymple and numerous nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, Brady was also predeceased by three brothers Dennis, Terry, and David as well as one sister Phyllis.

There will be no visitation. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of McLellan Brothers Funeral Home, 3183 Plummer Ave, New Waterford, 902-862-7500, where a private family chapel service will be held at a later date with Rev. Corrie Stuart and Fr. Ray Huntley officiating. Donations in his memory maybe made to a charity of your choice.
